  1. My friend Dick Falkenbury (Seattle Monorail project instigator) has had the same viewpoint documented expertly in “transit myth” for several years…. as have I, a card carrying NW native progressive green. A voice in the wilderness.

    We must advocate for small electric intra-neighborhood circulator buses and leave large double articulated buses and electric trolleys for inter-neighborhood long haul express service. Neighborhood transit hubs could connect passengers using the small electric circulator jitneys with occasional trips out to other neighborhoods using express transit at 5 minute intervals. Keep the big buses on arterials and not rattling around empty at the ends of routes. Let small electric jitneys carry riders around their own neighborhood to local shops, etc, saving gas and benefiting buy local efforts.
