A sticker I saw

Today on my way home I saw a sticker on a car that was an American flag and said “God Bless America”. I’m certainly not interested in arguing with that. However, the sticker was placed right next to the gas cap on a car with plenty of empty bumper.
It left me thinking that this person was trying to tell me that he/she felt that it was an american’s god given right to consume gasoline.
If it was just a random location, then ok, but…

For most of the 20th century gasoline was cheap for us. We pumped all of ours out and burned it, then we colonized other countries with supply and got it cheap. Gasoline was cheap and now it is not. It never will be again. It is time to move on. This not a ship we need to go down with.
